Sweet sweet Diego

From day one in care this chunky sweetheart has wanted love and cuddles, and to curl up next to you. He would also like to cuddle on top of you but since he's 8.5kg you there's a possibility you would suffocate if you let him! This beautiful boy may be big but his meows are as tiny as a kitten's! 🥹

Diego doesn't have any interest in toys currently but his carer is trying to get him moving a little more and shed some of his weight by placing dry food around the room so he has to go find it.

Diego is carrying a lot of excess weight so his new owners will need to work to gradually reduce it (essentially this means feeding him only what he needs and not what he wants!) Once he slims down he should become more active and get a new lease on life!

Diego came into care with his friend Becks (also listed) so these two boys could be adopted together although will do equally well if rehomed separately. He has seen the three other cats in his foster home through the window and is fine with them so has the potential to join a home that already has kitties.

Adoption fee includes vet check, F3 vaccination, flea and worm treatment, microchip - including the transfer of ownership - and sterilisation.

Diego needs to lose some weight but is otherwise a healthy way.

ADOPTION DETAILS
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form via our website. You will be advised if your chosen cat is still available and then put in contact with the carer for a chance to ask further questions. If a meet-and-greet is then arranged, we will email the adoption paperwork and payment instructions to you prior to this. Please note payment must be made before adoption trial starts and we are unable to take cash payment.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen cat is the right fit for your home. After a successful trial period, SAFE Bunbury will arrange transfer of ownership on your new pet's microchip and email copies of their vet records out to you.
