About Timber
Introducing the sweetheart Timber! Timber is a Kelpie x born 30th October 2021.
Many of you may have seen this sweet boy who was tied to our front gate & abandoned just over a week ago. He was terrified, confused & quite underweight.
Unfortunately Timber wasn't microchipped, but through Dee's investigations she was able to find his owner who admitted to dumping him. He has now been surrendered to the facility for rehoming.
Timbers surrender profile states he was kept both indoors & outdoors and he is house trained. He has no food aggression & he travels well in the car. He is friendly with children, adult strangers, cats & he lived with other dogs. Timber's only downfall seems to be that he would dig holes in the backyard.
Timber tested well with other dogs but definitely prefers the company of calmer dogs who don't try to jump all over him or try to have inappropriate "relations" with him. If you have a calm, friendly dog at home we will need you to bring them to the facility for a meet & greet to ensure they get along before going home.
Timber seemed unfazed by cats & pocket pets. With a slow & controlled introduction he may have the potential to live with smaller animals.
Timber has shown signs of separation anxiety while at the facility, however this could simply be a reaction to the stressful kennel environment as his surrender profile states he was fine being at home with their other dogs. We are unsure how he would react being left at home alone without the company of other animals.
Timber is such a loving man and wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Timber, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Timber's adoption fee is $350, and this includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Timber is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Timber is located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
