Babs is a little survivor, a brave, beautiful, and loving cat who is incredibly close to our hearts.
Babs came to us from a horrific 80+ hoarding nightmare - her whole life has been a struggle, and it didn’t end when she came into care.
This poor darling quickly became chronically ill - she was in and out of emergency vets, not responding to medication, fading quickly despite intensive care, and was finally diagnosed with FIP, toxoplasmosis, and FIV…the trifecta.
If you don’t know what FIP is, you’re lucky. It’s a cruel, unforgiving, and devastating disease that takes everything from a cat - on top of that, FIV/Toxo.
Despite the odds, despite the expense, we went all in for her. That’s what we commit to when we take on any life, to hold their paw through it all. She was fighting, so we did too.
Babs underwent an 84-day treatment for FIP and went from an incredibly sick baby who couldn’t walk or eat on her own and was 1/2 the weight she should have been. Now she is a healthy, happy, vibrant, affectionate, adorable, and loving cat who is an absolute delight.
To see her now, you wouldn’t even know that she was at death's door. Babs is the prime example of what it means to run a no-kill shelter - it’s not giving up on a little life when hope starts to fade and funds dry up. It’s somehow giving cats their miracle because they damn well deserve it.
❤️A huge thank you to her incredible foster mum Kat who held her paw the entire time and got her to her healthiest point! You are Wonder Woman! ❤️
Babs, we love you and will find the perfect family for you.
Babs is desexed, vaccinated, flea/worm-treated, microchipped, and kitty litter trained.
