About Pete
Pete has become very accustomed to life as a pet!
He loves being on the couch, his bed and on any mattress (he makes himself comfortable wherever he is, as long as he's with you). He's very playful, loves to say hello to other dogs on the street, and is always bouncy when his lead is brought out! He can be cheeky - he's a big fan of the bins, toilet and dirty laundry hamper.
He's a cuddle-bug, loves attention and pats (while awake). Very curious - sticks his snout everywhere he can! Enjoys going to the park and watching the local footy, and very keen to be by your side at all times (including the toilet). Very excitable and overall a lovely companion.
Pete will raid the bins if he can, and is tall enough to snatch things off the bench. He freezes usually at least once a walk, but with some reassurance and time to think he will keep moving.
He also is very anxious about being alone - he will howl and scratch even if its a short period of time. He is left with toys and treats to distract him when he will be home alone, but is not always effective.
He has sleep-startled a few times but we know not to touch him when he's asleep, and do not let him sleep on our beds.
Pete loves squeaky soft toys, rubbish bins, and dog bones. He also loves just being in people's company, mattresses, and walks. seems to enjoy car rides too but mainly because he likes to explore!
