About Fran
💜 Fran 💜
HOUSEHOLD- Fran is a fun loving girl who greets everyone with enthusiasm and a huge tail wag. She is a strong boisterous girl requiring a mature household. Fran has a tendency to jump up on you when excited, therefore at this stage she is not suitable for a home with small children or the elderly.
ON-GOING TRAINING- With the aid of food as a motivator, Fran listens and will sit, shake and roll over when asked. Without food, Fran has trouble focusing and being still. Her new family must be committed to providing her with further on-going basic obedience and lead training.
ON LEAD- Due to overexcitment, Fran can be a bit pully on the lead. This should settle with a consistent exercise routine and further direction from her handler.
PLAY/TOYS- Fran is a playful girl who loves to interact with you but she has shown no desire to plays with toys.
OTHER DOGS- Fran has previously lived with a male canine companion. We have introduced Fran to a number of doggy friends while in our care and she has displayed a preference for calm and social male canine friends.
CATS/OTHER ANIMALS- Fran has had a brief introduction to a cat and she showed it no interest at all. We will do further testing to confirm how she may go living with a cat or small pocket pet whilst she is at the facility.
CAR RIDES- When offered a car ride Fran jumped right in without any hesitation. She travelled well for the duration of the car ride and displayed no issues at all.
CARE/GROOMING- We have found Fran to be a little uncomfortable when handling her feet. Fran will require basic regular grooming care. This may include weekly brushing, monthly bathing (or whenever she gets dirty) and regular nail checks to keep her in tip top condition.
EXERCISE/NUTRITION- Fran is boisterous and has lots of energy. She will require an active family who can offer her daily walks. Fran loves her food and was overweight when she came to us as an unclaimed stray. Her food intake will need to be monitored and adjusted accordingly to maintain a healthy weight.
Fran is a gorgeous 5 year old Labrador located at our Erina Shelter. Her $500 adoption fee covers- microchipping, desexing, lifetime registration, current vaccination, flea and worming treatments.
If you are able to provide a loving home for Fran then please lodge your adoption interest online and we will be in touch.
