About Stella
Stella’s requirements for her new home.
- A MALE, desexed, medium/large dog that loves to play chase. then laze around.
- Someone looking for a shadow, a best friend, and a cuddle buddy
- A home with no small children, due to her size.
- A home where daily walks is part of the routine, and the opportunity to have a good run a couple times a week.
- Due to her very short thin coat Stella needs to have access to inside on cold and hot days/nights, she will also need coats on really cold days.
- A decent size yard for a large dog and high secure fencing.
- Stella can come with a crate, a stretcher dog bed, lead and bowl, if wanted/or needed by the new family.
- In her previous home stella enjoyed camping and running alongside a bike.
- Stella dreams of living rural where she can hang with the guys, and ride in Utes
Stella is looking for a best friend, well two actually. She is after a human best friend to follow, go for walks with and give and receive lots of love. She is also after a doggie best friend; she isn’t fussy a large or medium male dog that loves to play chase and will allow her to follow and lay beside them when you are not available. Stella has the most beautiful gentle and easy-going nature. Her coat fills like velvet and is hard to stop stroking, which is ok because she doesn’t want you to stop. Stella is great to walk on a lead, long line and retractable lead (where safe, like an oval or park, not near roads). Stella is enjoying a 30 minute walk each day but really looks forward to the weekend when she can go to a field and run at full speed. Stella has been happy around dogs of all sizes and ages and although she is ok around small dogs, she may accidently bowl them over when she is playing chase. Everyone that meets Stella loves her, and Stella is happy to meet people she doesn’t know, but at times needs reminders not to jump up when she is excited, this usually happens when her favourite person returns home after being out for some time. Being a big dog, continued training is important. Stella can be a bit vocal when left especially if she is crated. Stella sleeps all night quietly in her crate but would love a couch, beanbag or large dog bed to sleep on. Stella is very good at jumping so will need a yard with appropriate fencing to keep her safe.
Stella is perfect out in public, she loves receiving pats from people of all ages and sizes. She can easily be walked around a local lake with ducks, dogs, bikes, scooters, swings and children running around.
Stella loves rides in cars and loves to be safely in the back of a ute. On cold nights Stella appreciates a blanket on top of her and will often bury her head under it. See in photos where she is laying on a big beanbag with a blanket on, don't expect to see her face. Stella is awesome walking down a busy street and chilling out at an outdoor cafe, please see in photos

Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet. We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
