About Doc 10985
Meet Doc, your dainty feline friend!
Doc innocently sits at 1.7kg. Thinking this boy was just a wee kitten you can imagine our shock to find out that he's actually around 2 years old - we were absolutely convinced that he was a baby!
Doc is an ideal match for first-time or new cat owners seeking a gentle and loving addition to their home. With his indoor preference due to a past bout of cat flu, he's looking for a cosy and secure environment to call home. His slightly timid nature makes him a wonderful fit for a calm and quiet household.
Doc is excited to meet kids of any age, showing his openness and adaptability. While he may not be immediately interested in other cats, once settled, he might warm up to the idea of having a feline friend. However, he would prefer to be the only cat in the initial stages of post-adoption life.
Based on his quiet & gentle nature we think it’s best that Doc isn't rehomed with a family who has a dog.
Doc has a shy yet agreeable temperament that complements his low-energy and easy-going nature. While toys are new to him, he's gradually discovering their charm, with the ping pong ball ranking as his favourite so far.
Food-wise, Doc is not picky at all—his love for all types of food guarantees he'll be an easy eater. Rest assured, he's a well-mannered kitty who consistently uses his litter tray.
Doc doesn't mind a bit of affection, welcoming gentle pick-ups and enjoying back and butt scratches. He'll even greet you with a meow when you come home, demonstrating his charismatic nature.
Although he can be a bit reserved initially, he'll gradually open up and share his sweet & charming personality with you.
If you're ready to offer patience, love, and a tranquil setting, Doc is ready to become your loyal and loving companion.

Please remember that the pets we have available sometimes come to us with no history, so we do our very best to get to know them while they are here and to match them to your home. Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
