About Fox
Foster-to-adopt
Fox has come a very long way from the timid, shut down girl who couldn’t even walk on a lead.
Many of you may have seen Fox with her fellow shelter pals Wren and Fawn in our video we posted a just over a week ago searching for foster carers – she had originally come from a puppy farm in NSW living in awful conditions and was understandably very shut down and depressed, but what a marvelous transformation she has made since then!
She is such a sweet, quirky soul with so much love to give. She does the cutest “froggie legs” and crawls around on the ground with her leggies stretched out behind her.
She is still learning how to navigate the big wide world, and is still quite timid and overwhelmed in new environments, however with time and patience with a loving and caring family we know that she will continue to blossom into the loving, happy and confident girl we know she can be.
She has been socializing very well with other dogs in the shelter, and more recently we have seen a huge change in her confidence around other dogs – it is so wonderful to watch! She has gone from a dog who’s tail was permanently planted in between her legs to a dog who wags her tail happily and play bows enthusiastically around other dogs! For this reason, our staff now have all the assurance they need to confidently say that she would be happy to live alongside another young, playful and well socialized dog – in fact, we think a home with a dog would be the best possible place for her!
She would be best suited to a home with dog-savvy teenage kids or with adults only. She is starting to play more with our staff and become much more confident meeting people, but she will need a patient family who will help her develop at her own pace.
Fox will be foster-to-adopt as her desexing has been delayed for a few more months until she is at the ideal age.
