About Stix
Introducing the beautiful Stix! Stix is a Staffy x born 29th September 2022.
Stix was brought in as a stray by a member of the public. When we contacted his microchipped owner he explained he was away working & left Stix in the care of some friends. It turns out those "friends" were the ones who brought the dog in as a "stray" because they didn't want to look after him anymore. When we spoke to Stix's owner he advised he no longer wanted Stix & he didn't come to collect him. Since being with us Stix has started to show his gorgeous, playful personality & we have all fallen in love with him.
Stix tested well with other dogs, both male & female, however as a typical undesexed male he can get a little too "excited" when interacting with other dogs. While this may settle after desexing, his "overly friendly" actions may not be accepted by all dogs. If you have another dog at home we will need you to bring them to the facility for a meet & greet to ensure they get along before going home.
Stix does seem to have a fair bit of prey drive with pocket pets, so he will need a home with no chickens/rabbits etc.
Stix seemed playful with cats through a cage, but this may cause him to chase in play. With a slow & controlled introduction he may have the potential to live with cats.
Stix has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.
Stix is such a loving young man and wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Stix, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Stix’s adoption fee is $300, and this includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Stix is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Stix is located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
