About Kanha
AWWW she is just so DELICIOUS !!!
Kanha is the most delightful, sweet, lovable and delicious Chocolate and White Kelpie x Border Collie baby girl. Although initially she can be wary of anything new, she quickly warms to new things and will wriggle her body with delight. If you are looking for a spunky, cuddly, sassy girl….come and meet Kanha.
Not surprising based on her breed mix she is a super smart girl and will bloom in a home that are prepared to train her well.
Kanha is a cheeky and loyal little girl with loads of affection and puppy fun.
She has been in foster with 3 other dogs and so is well socialized with other dogs.
She loves the kids in the home and will make a great addition to an outdoor loving family or couple who seek a good energy addition to their family.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION FORM TO COMPLETE ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
WE WILL BE LISTING THE ENTIRE LITTER FOR ADOPTION SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A FEW DIFFERENT PUPS FROM THIS PLEASE APPLY SEPARATELY , THOUGH IF APPROVED YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO ADOPT ONE ONLY PUPPY.
Favorite things – Kanha loves cuddles, playing outside, exploring and playing with her fur siblings. She loves a game of tug with her rope toys and interacting with both humans and other dogs in her foster home. When ready for a rest, she loves a nice warm comfy bed to nap.
Interaction with humans- Kanha loves interacting with humans. She has been living with a family which includes teenagers and although initially wary when visitors come to visit, she quickly warms up and will shower you with kisses and love.
Obedience/Training – Kanha has displayed a lovely disposition. Although still very young, she presents as a pup who will likely thrive with training. She has been a delight to be around. Breed mix is incredibly clever so training this girl will be a breeze.
Animal/Social skills – Kanha interacts well with her litter mate and with her other foster siblings in foster care. She has been with a medium sized dog and a small dog. She has really enjoyed playing with his Kelpie X foster dog sister. Kanha is very active when around her foster siblings, and spends most of her day playing as most puppies do.
We have not tested her with cats but definitely young enough to learn.
Food – While in foster care, Kanha has been eating 3 meals a day of #Saviour Life chicken puppy food.
Independence – Kanha is more than happy being outside with her fur siblings, and keeps herself entertained very easily. She loves exploring the garden and climbing. Some of her favorite activities are to play with her rope toys and play-tumble, so as long as she has lots of toys and enrichment activities, she is happy.
Bathing and hygiene- Kanha has been bathed without any problems. She enjoys a gentle brush.
Sleeping – Kanha has been sleeping inside in a crate with her littermate. She sleeps through the night and goes out to play as soon as she wakes in the morning. During the day, she happily naps either inside or outside and loves to cuddle up to a teddy or little mate or foster dog sister.
Exercise - Kanha has been a very active dog during her time in foster care. ( yup she's an active breed puppy) She would thrive in an active household where she is walked daily and included in day to day activities.
As Kanha matures she will require daily exercise and a good run and walk as she is mixed with 2 higher energy dogs who need enrichment and to keep their brains active throughout their entire lives.
Inside the home – Kanha is happy to be inside or outside the house. She rarely has accidents inside, and will sleep through the night.
Kanha is seeking a home where she is included in the day to day activities of her adoptive family. She would love to be homed with a male dog who is kind and happy to play with her. She will happily fit into a home with children who are kind and gentle and mature enough to manage puppy teething etc.
IDEAL HOME: / ADOPTION CRITERIA
Kanha will be a higher energy dog and will require lots of stimulation and exercise as she matures
A home with a good size medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing. We request you do not apply if you are in a unit or terrace with a small yard as this will just lead to disappointment as we will not adopt this breed into that situation.
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle puppy behavior.Children must also be mature enough to understand that puppies must be allowed to have “ down time” and plenty of sleep and not be disturbed.
A home with or without another dog.If another dog is in residence already we seek a Male of medium to large size who is well socialized and tolerant of puppy behavior.
A daily walk. Short walks while she is a puppy and her bones are developing. A moderate-long walk when is older and has more energy to burn.
A lot of love and training is essential as this beautiful girl has huge potential to be amazing in the right hands.
Kanha should be welcomed as part of the family and not just left on her own in the backyard all the time. Her new family should dedicate time to training and take her to puppy classes.
She e is young enough to learn if you have a dog savvy cat
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young pup as teething is a thing that will cause inexperienced young children to become upset when the puppy chews their toys and or the children.
