About Noah
Noah is a happy and highly intelligent dog. He is eager to please his family and absolutely loves quality time with you learning new things. He quickly picks up requests and loves to know he's doing a good job.
Noah is very sweet and has been a part of a family with two young children. He is great around them and would likely be okay in a home with other small children too. He can be a little excitable, but he calms down quickly. He doesn't jump up at people, although he might accidentally bump into you when he just cannot contain his joy.
Even though he is a sociable boy, Noah can be a bit full-on with other dogs and get himself told off. At home, he is joined at the hip with his feline brother Henry (who is also available for adoption...hint, hint). Henry and Noah love to cuddle up together and are truly great friends. Noah might get excited and try to chase an unfamiliar cat, but he is okay once he gets to know them. Henry rules the roost, but Noah still chases him now and again.
When he was younger, Noah would go on long walks and visit dog parks. These days he is content hanging out in the backyard, going on little car trips, and going for a swim when he gets the chance.
When he was nine months old, Noah was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia and later had an operation to help with this. He does now have arthritis and isn't suited to energetic exercise. Swimming is a perfect exercise for him, and he loves it!
Because he doesn't exercise much now, he could be content with a very small yard just to go to the toilet in if he was an indoor dog otherwise. Although, inner-city living might be a challenge as he is excitable and strong on lead when he is out and about.
Noah is happy to be left alone for short periods but wouldn't like to be alone all day while you're out at work. So a household with someone who is home more often than not would be his best match.
More than anything, Noah enjoys spending time with his people. He is snuggly and affectionate and very, VERY adorable. He would happily be a full-time indoor dog sitting on people's laps or on the end of their beds for the rest of his life. He loves bringing his toys to his people and would happily 'work the room' at a backyard BBQ.

Medical notes
Noah had a check-up with his vet on 18th July 2023. He had recently developed dermatitis. This dermatitis has been responding well to antihistamine therapy and is resolving.
Noah does also have arthritis and elbow dysplasia. The vet noted that Noah's owners are managing his arthritis and elbow dysplasia well. Ongoing glucosamine/chondroitin supplementation, as well as regular pentosan/cartophen injections ongoing, are recommended.
Noah's vet is available for a phone call or to supply a full patient history as requested.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
