🐾 Meet Whiskey and Schumann - The Persian Duo! 🐱🐱
Whiskey (8 years old) and Schumann (6 years old), are in search of their forever home in Melbourne. They came into our care after their elderly owner passed away and are now looking for a loving and patient family.
Whiskey is a playful kitty who adores toys and pats, she will settle in quickly and be keen to explore her new home. She's a foodie at heart and enjoys treats just as much as playtime. While she might not be a fan of being picked up and cuddled, she'll happily hang out and be your playful companion. Whiskey has had surgery to remove granulomas on her eye and requires daily eye drops, which can be easily incorporated into her regular grooming routine.
Schumann is more of an observer. He loves to watch and take in his surroundings. He doesn’t really understand what pats are and why you would want to give them to him but with some patience he may work it out. However, when it comes to food, he's all in! His absolute favourite is roast chicken, and he'll let you know with a lick of his lips when he wants some. He also enjoys playtime but prefers toys that allow a bit of distance like feathers on a stick. He’s also a bit of a catnip fiend so nip responsibly!
Regular grooming is a must for these delicate darlings, as they're not big fans of being brushed and can become matted and uncomfortable. Neither of them mind the company of other cats, but they'd thrive in a home where they can go at their own pace and aren't expected to be besties with new animals. They're looking for a mature home or one without children that understands their need for a calm and patient environment. Medical notes
whiskey and Schumann go to their new homes desexed, micropchipped, current in vaccinations and parasite treatment, groomed and with Whiskey having had granulomas removed from her eye. She will need ongoing eyedrops.

Adoption details
Initially, please complete the relevant adoption questionnaire on our website - squishiesrescue.org.au
Once the questionnaire has been returned, we will contact you to discuss.
Should the pet be potentially a good match for your home, we will arrange a meet with you and the pet, and should the meet be successful, the pet will be adopted with a 2 week settling in period to ensure they adapt well.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
