Hi all, I'm Leo Santino!

I am looking for a family home where I can flourish and become the amazing dog I know I am!! I've been described as the resident 'BEST BOY' here at the shelter due to my excellent manners and willingness to learn new skills, so if you're looking for the PAW-fect canine companion - look no further!

Being a large and active breed I'd need a spacious home with a big backyard for me to explore, however, I'd love to be welcomed inside the house & part of the family. For this reason, I wouldn't be suitable in an apartment (sorry!). My favourite thing in the ENTIRE world is ball games or anything to do with a toy - fetch, tug of war, the works! - so if you want a playtime pal, I'm your guy!

I'd like my new pawrents to be committed to ongoing force-free training to help me work through life's little challenges. As mentioned, I am a SUPERSTAR at learning new things, so am looking forward to continuing my training at home and developing a close training relationship with my new parents!

A variety of enrichment is also the key for me and will help a lot with my mental stimulation (e.g., KONG toys, puzzles, snuffle mats). I LOVE being occupied with something to chew/work on and will be more than happy to do this while you enjoy a new Netflix series or cup of coffee!

I get a little upset when I am left alone, so I will need a family that will help me feel safe when you are absent. You will need to be patient with me while we work through this together, otherwise my feelings about being left alone will never change. I know I will improve, I just need time and a lot of love from you! I would ADORE being your new work-from-home companion - I promise to give lots of encouraging tail wags!

I'd like to be the only animal in the home, and when you meet me, you'll see exactly why you don't need anyone else! (because I'm the best!!)
