Violet

Meet Violet. She's a sweet but shy little one. Violet has come from a rural community where she may have missed out on some early socialization. She's looking for a loving family that will help her with her basic pup training so she can flourish into adulthood. Violet is quite human social and will curl up into your lap for some gentle reassurance and lovin'. A good way to her heart is through her tummy: she's very food motivated (knows what the treat pouch is for!)
During interactions here at the Care Centre, she has been a little bit worried by novel items (toys!), so her new family will need to introduce things slowly and help her make positive associations. We recommend crate training, to provide her with a safe space to retreat if feeling overwhelmed. She would benefit from continued lead training in the home, before going out to quiet low traffic areas.
Calm older children in her new adoptive home would be preferable over little ones and Violet will need to meet any other doggie companions you have at the home before adoption.
