About Comet - 4 Month Old Kelpie
Comet was rescued from pound with her four brothers and sisters, and spent first few months of her life in a cage with little human interaction. Comet has adjusted well to family life in foster care and now loves humans and cuddles, although is sometimes still a little timid.
Comet is happy outside with her siblings and resident dogs, and will come inside for a cuddle when the humans are home. Comet is happy to sleep in a crate or just find a warm spot in the sun.
Comet would be best suited to a family with another dog or someone home most of the time. She loves to play with her foster sibling (an 11 month old Kelpie) and is also happy to cuddle up with her humans and have a nap. She is friendly with the children who visit her foster home (5 & 7 years old).
Comet is very smart, making her easy to train. She is doing well with basic training and has learnt sit and down. With ongoing training she will be an awesome pet for anyone. She is working on her toilet training.
Comet’s adoption fee is $700 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes her first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Comet is in foster care in Killingworth, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 5 to 6 months old.
To apply to meet Comet, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. If you have any questions, you can send an email to michelle.chandler81@gmail.com
