About Saffron
Saffron is a ridiculously cute, wrinkly smooch who loves to play, snooze and hang with his chosen humans. He has been in foster care with his three siblings and his foster carer's own dogs and cats.
It's suspected Saffron will grow to be a muscular, medium size dog that will require daily exercise and enrichment throughout his life. Hiking adventures, group classes, play dates with other friendly dogs will all be great outlets for Saff.
It's important that whoever adopts Saffron is invested in ongoing training, including puppy school which will be important for his ongoing socialisation. He wouldn't mind a home with another confident, well socialised dog or alternatively as the only dog with humans around more often than not. Saffron is still learning that being alone is sometimes okay, his new family will need to be able to support him through this as it will take a while for him to adjust and understand.
MY IDEAL HOME: Saff is looking for a home where he has access inside and out as he pleases with humans around more often than not. Whilst experience with Bull breeds is not essential, it certainly wouldn't go astray.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Saffron is only a wee baby so does like a snooze but as he grows he will require a moderate amount of exercise. Daily walks will be a must, as well as interactive play (he loves to chase a ball) and daily training.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Saffron is fine with children but it's important to note that he can play a little rough so older, dog savvy kids are likely the best fit.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Saffron currently lives in a multi-animal household, he is young enough to likely be able to transition into a home with dogs or cats with the right guidance.

Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
