About Yani
Yani is a gentle, quiet and affectionate 6 yro boy. He is typical of the staffy breed in that he loves being with his human family; he loves his walks on leash and going on outings and has short outburts of energy where he rolls around and does zoomies, but most of the time he is happy to be a lounge lizard, lying in the sun or on a comfy bed inside. Yani has the usual big staffy smile :)
Before coming into rescue Yani lived quite an isolated life as an outside dog in a yard. He had little socialisation with people and dogs, other than the family who owned him, including small children, and their other dog. Yani is now enjoying exploring the world, he's living as inside/outside dog and is well behaved in the home and is quickly learning toilet training. Yani travels well in a car and is fine walking on leash.
Yani is not boisterous or over active and we think he would be fine to be rehomed with older children. He is also fine with the other dogs in his foster home; he is sharing the home with 1 male and 2 female dogs. He doesn't play rough with other dogs, he just likes to hang out with them.
This lovely boy is looking for a new home where he will be loved, a family who will continue his socialisation, introduce him slowly to new people and other dogs, and include him in family activities. He must be allowed to sleep inside. Yani would probably suit many different family situations and would love to hear from anyone who is interested in meeting him.
Yani is also available to the right family for foster care or foster care with a view to adopt.
Yani will not be rehomed with a family who has cats or pocket pets as we have no knowledge of how he is with these animals. thank you.
All our dogs are put into new homes on a trial adoption of two weeks, which can be extended by agreement. If the trial adoption does not work out, the dog must be returned to us.
