They don't make puppies much sweeter than Austin! He is super affectionate and loves all the attention you can give him. But it's not all cuddles and pats, Austin definitely has working dog spirit: he is clever, loves to learn, play and to be busy. Despite this he does have an off switch, although you may have to remind him it's time for a nap because he loves to help you with whatever you're doing :)

This very good boy walks well on the lead, knows ""sit"", ""paw"", ""down"", and to wait for food. He is perfecting his recall, ""stay"", and ""drop it"". He is a typical teething puppy, and can be a bit silly when he's tired, so routine with regular rest really helps him to focus and be calm. A consistent training routine will be important as he grows. His toilet training is on track and inside accidents are rare. He sleeps through the night in his crate, and is used to being safe in his verandah enclosure while his foster parents are at work.

He currently shares his foster home with two older dogs who he plays well with and is respectful of their space. He is too excited to meet the chickens, but he does not fixate on them or try to dig into their enclosure. He would be suited to a home with older children who are able to participate in his training, and would be happy with another dog friend or as a solo dog, just as long as there was lots of love and guidance from his humans!
