About Spike
Spike is an energetic 1-year-old black and tan kelpie male. He loves to meet new people and dogs, explore the world, and settle in for a cuddle at the end of the day.
Spike loves chasing a frisbee, playing tug, or zooming around the yard playing chasey. He loves to be around his people but is happy to explore on his own while you are working in the yard or eating lunch.
Spike is comfortably toilet trained and crate trained, sleeping through the night. He is good at sit, drop, stay, and waiting politely for food and at doors. Spike is quick to develop new skills and would thrive with an engaged teacher. Spike is currently working on his recall and loose lead walking, in which he is making great strides. Spike has been polite to dogs he meets, he is very friendly to new people, even visitors to his house.
Spike is ready for his forever home with active owners who can give him the attention he deserves and would be fine with another dog.
If Spike sounds like the dog for you, fill out the adoption form so you can snag this ball of fun!
Spike is located in ACT.
Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
