NOTE: You are unable to meet Lucy until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Lucy in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Short regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family who promise to keep me well groomed and brush me regularly so I’m always looking and feeling my best
• Lots of love and attention
• A quiet & mature family/household, I should be fine with children if they are gentle and remember I’m small and older.
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years
• I like both friendly male and female dogs.
• If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.
• Basic training to help me with settling into my new home, I may have accidents inside.

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Gentle & placid
• I do allow you to pick me and will sit on your lap
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I need further training on my recall as I can ignore you if you're trying to call me back to you
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone inside or in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats may help this.
