About Binx ^^Dandy Cat Rescue^^
🐱🐱 $120 adoption fee 🐱🐱
Binx has known some challenges in his life but he is a boy bursting with resilience and courage.
Binx came to our rescue as a very sick and lonely little kitten. He was just four weeks old and had a bad case of cat flu that had gummed up one of his eyes. Despite how unwell he was though, Binx showed us his amazing strength and will to get well.
With lots of hard work, vet care and time, Binx pulled through. He has had all the very best of vet care he needed through his kittenhood and into adolescence to help him through. However Binx does have some ongoing issues that you will need to note (see medical notes below).
Now aged 10 months, Binx is obsessed with food. He has a ferocious appetite because he is still a growing boy. Feeding Binx is super easy because he will eat just about anything you put down for him.
Binxy boy loves to play and climb, he even knows how to walk on the treadmill (see video in this profile)! His favourite game is wrestling with his best friend Beatrice (also listed on Pet Rescue).
Binx is a very chatty and engaging boy. At this stage in his life, he is still a bit too busy being a diva, exploring and being inquisitive to want to be held still. However he does enjoy coming up to you for a snuggle when he’s ready to have a rest. He also enjoys watching TV (you watch, he snoozes!).
Binx is very fond of the other cats in the house, and very polite and respectful of their boundaries. He definitely has some cattitude and lives his life on his own terms.
Binx would be great in a busy home with a family, or with a couple/single who have another cat for him to play with. Binx loves company as much as he loves playing – he’s a social boy with a happy outlook on life.
Binx has not been tested on dogs so we do not recommend he goes to a home with a dog/dogs.
Summary:
• Overcome kittenhood illness
• Playful, funny and social boy
• Great with a family or active couple/single with another cat
• Has ongoing care requirements.
Located in Langwarrin.

Medical notes
Due to the severity of his early illness, Binx has chronic rhinitis from the scarring of his nasal tissue. As a result, he still has the sniffles and sometimes sneezes. The tearducts in his right eye also scarred over from the virus, so his eye is watery as the tears cannot drain.
His ongoing care will require you to give him an occasional lysine supplement in his food, and potentially give him a Bisolven tablet (available at any chemist) if he has a flare-up. Binx may also need antibiotics if he gets a bad flare-up, although he has not had one in months and has only required monitoring.
We are happy to discuss any aspect of this at any time. Email us at dandycatrescue@yahoo.com and we'll be intouch!
