Millie is a five year old long haired chihuahua looking for her furever home in the Brisbane South East Qld area. She is an outgoing and social pup who loves to cuddle up with her people, but also enjoys playing with other dogs. Millie has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and wormed – she’s all ready to go!
Millie is crate trained
Millie would do best in a home where she can be around someone most of the day. A retired person with plenty of time and patience for her would be ideal. Millie is good with children and other dogs, although she hasn’t been tested yet with cats. She is an inside dog so requires a secure fence type around her new home. She’ll need help with toilet training, but just initially.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
