About Duke
Hi I’m Duke! I found my self in the care of BVAR after being handed in as an unclaimed stray, but that’s alright because now I’m ready to find my very own forever family, could this be you?
I’m a friendly boy and have been quite curious with the other cats in my foster home. I have shared food with the kitten in the home, unfortunately the big cat doesn’t like me at all. I would do well in any situation be it with or without other felines.
I am not too concerned about the dogs in my home, it’s believed I could easily get along with any in my new home provided I’m given the appropriate introductions.
I would do well in a home with understanding humans that can read social queues. I am happy to receive pats and affection, but I’m certainly not a fan of being picked up and carried. I would be be okay with children providing they understand my needs and aren’t too overwhelming for me.
I love food and I’m used to having to scavenge so keep your bread out of my reach. I stole a croissant from the stove top before my humans even realised. I especially love the kitchen area (it’s where all the goods stuff is) and often stand on my back legs to reach closer to the bench.
I don’t really play yet, I’m pretty serious and more motivated by food rather than toys. I can still be a little cautious about meeting new people, but I don’t take too long to warm up.
I have been good with my litter training, although this is quite new to me I’ve been consistently using it.
I WILL BE ADOPTED AS INDOORS ONLY - this is to not only protect me from predators and deadly diseases, but also our wonderful wildlife.
