About Lyla - 10 Week Old Border Collie X (Trial)
Lyla is a 10 week old, female, Border Collie X Cattle puppy. She is an energetic girl with lots of love to give. She will follow you and sit by your feet for a nap. She loves a good belly rub and she is calmest when in your arms.
Lyla has been having a great time with her sister and her foster sister puppies playing chases in the back yard and having a puppy wrestle but also gets on great with her human foster siblings. She isn’t afraid to take on the big dogs and have a wrestle with them.
Lyla is full of personality and will show you her affectionate side and her playful side everyday.
Lyla is already showing great progress with toilet training in her short time with her foster family and will be a quick learner for all skills and manners.
Lyla is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. She has been very well socialised with other puppies and adult dogs (small and large) and gets along well with them all. She's met lots of people and is friendly and affectionate with them.
Lyla will grow up to be a medium dog. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training.
It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Lyla. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.
Lyla needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. She will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You need good fencing with no small gaps. She can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Lyla’s sister Harper is also available for adoption.
Lyla’s adoption fee is $700 which includes her desexing when she is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. She has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Lyla is in foster care in Belmont North, NSW. Since she is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. She'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when she's 5 to 6 months old.
To apply to meet Lyla, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt. If you have any questions, you can send an email to drn.amandac@gmail.com.
