Hi!👋 I'm Maki!
I'm an 8-week-old female border collie x kelpie. I'm a sweet and friendly pup with a confident nature.
I'm searching for an active home. I would love another dog for company, or a home that will ensure I have the opportunity to socialise with other dogs daily to help me grow up to be a good canine citizen. I'd suit a home with kids who can keep me entertained and provide me with lots of cuddles.
My new home will need to be prepared to take me to puppy school to commence my basic training and continue my socialisation. You will need to be prepared to invest in ongoing obedience classes and training into adulthood and beyond, to ensure I achieve my full potential. I'm a very clever pup that appreciates food so I'll be easily motivated to learn, and lots of fun to train.
I love to play and wrestle with my brother. I really like my chew toys so you will need to provide plenty of those for me. I'm currently sleeping quietly in my crate at night. I'm currently in care with my two older resident dog brothers and cats.
My new family will need to include me in their everyday lives. If you can ensure I remain a happy girl by providing the ongoing exercise, training, mental stimulation and socialisation a working breed dog needs, then foster mum would love to hear from you.

Medical notes
Maki is not yet desexed. We do not desex puppies until they are at minimum 24-weeks-of-age. All pups must be desexed by 26-weeks-of-age unless under vet advice in writing.
If we have a vet in the adopters area, (eg. mid north coast & northern rivers area) we offer a desexing voucher, if not then the adoption fee is reduced by the amount we pay our vet for desexing to assist the adopter with that cost.
All our dogs/pups are microchipped, vaccinated and have received parasite prevention.

~As a working breed I will need lots of mental & physical stimulation. How to do
plan to meet those needs?
~ Have you done any training with other dogs? If so what training have you and
your previous/current dog completed?
~I will need additional vet work in my life time such as follow up
vaccinations etc, is this a problem?
~I will also need flea and worm treatments to keep me at my
optimum health, are you prepared for that?
~I've had a diet since being at the rescue of quality biscuits & raw, can you
guarantee to continue my current diet?
~ I am a good 10-20 years commitment are you 100% ready to
give me a home?

~A yard check or photographic proof of secure fencing, shelter & sleeping areas
will be required.
~A vet reference may be required.
