Winston - 8mos Jack Russell Terrier X(Trial3/9/23)

As cute as a button with a fun personality to match, Winston is a gorgeous ball of goofy fun. He is a happy and loving boy, who just wants to please you.

He needs a loving, calm home where he is treated like one of the family. He gets on well with his foster fur siblings, but can be fearful of other dogs, so he will need some more socialisation training so he gets used to the world around him. He loves going for long walks and would love someone home to play with. He would benefit from the company of a fur sibling to learn from and play with. Winston is untested with cats and pocket pets, but being a terrier, a home without them is probably best.

He knows how to sit, and is starting to come when called, he is food motivated and very keen to learn. He loves attention, pats, snuggles and belly rubs. He needs someone who will continue to dedicate time into training, socialising and smothering him with love.

Winston is an inside dog and needs to sleep inside with his people. Winston is starting to play fetch with toys and loves playing with his foster fur siblings.
Winston is mostly toilet trained and has only had a few accidents in care. He sleeps on his own bed in his foster carer’s bedroom. He mastered the doggy door in the first few minutes.

Ongoing training would bring out the best in Winston as he is smart and food motivated and wants to please his humans.

Winston would love long walks with his family to burn his puppy energy. He would benefit from training on lead as he gets excited going for walks and can pull. He is only a puppy and needs someone who is prepared to continue his training. He can jump up when he’s excited so therefore he is not recommended for children under 8 years old.

Winston is in foster care in Newcastle, NSW. He is available for adoption to NSW and ACT. His adoption fee is $700 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
