Selenite (Sella)

Selenite (Sella) is a five and a half month old long haired white male kitten with bright blue eyes. He is completely deaf, and fearless... it's a scary combo and he can't ever be left outside unsupervised, or left in situations where he could get hurt. Very suitable for harness training and a backpack, he'd love to be an adventure cat.

He was surrendered to us with his brother Obsidian (Sid), by owners whose female cat accidentally got pregnant. They desexed mum cat and gave her kittens to CPoM for responsible rehoming.

Too smart for his own good and not quite clever enough to cover his tracks, Selenite is completely and utterly deaf and not afraid of anything. Which is a very scary combo... he follows vacuum cleaners around, and thinks cats hissing at him are entertaining. Selenite will need a smart, semi-helicopter parent who also wants an adventure cat. He would also do well with a cat friendly dog... he doesn't discriminate, he'll crash tackle anyone. Cats, dogs, foster carer's elderly mother, carer's ankles. You've been warned.

Selenite loves food, wrestling his brother (Obsidian hates it), playing, making eye contact and smooching his humans, being brushed gently, getting into anything and everything and being involved. He dislikes being ignored, being left alone and being misunderstood. He's not disabled, he's different!

He is a beautiful cat who looks completely angelic - but he isn't! He can be adopted together with his brother Obsidian but they can be separated under certain conditions.

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from our group. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
