Ken

G'day, I'm Ken. I'm a very sweet man who is quite shy but warms and and becomes very smoochy. I would require an owner who is patient and has the time to spend with me to build my confidence. I get quite worried by new things and environments so would need lots of encouragement to make these new things a positive experience. I have probably never walked on a lead before this, so it can be a little scary and I am learning quickly. Once I have mastered this skill, I would love to go on long walks during a quiet time of day at first so this doesn't overwhelm me. Crate training would be a must for me, as I still need a safe space to call my own in case things get a little too overwhelming. I am a little worried by meeting new dog friends and sometimes I'm not sure how to interact with them. However, a calm social dog would probably suit me fine but we would have to meet first. I'm more suited to a home with teens as I am quite worried by new things and people and younger children may scare me. This can be lowered for calm gentle older kids, meet at time of adoption.
Ken is looking for a quiet lifestyle (not suitable for the hustle and bustle of a busy neighborhood, unit, townhouse etc). Ken is likely to feel quite sensitive to new noises and loud noises that he may not have experienced before.
