About Skye
******************APPLY AT www.gsrv.com.au ******************************
Beautiful Skye is 16 months old and is ready to bounce into her forever home! Skye has found herself homeless in a pound and is not coping, she wants to get ASAP so that she can start living the life that every dog deserves.
Our beautiful bouncy girl is full of life, Skye loves to bound everywhere, zoomies are her favourite activity, but watch out, she has no concept of personal space and may just tackle you when she gets a little too enthusiastic… all in play of course! Skye just loves to play, chasing her ball and playing keepings off is how she likes to spend her day, soft toys are not safe from this cheeky girl, she will throw them up in the air and self-play when no-one is around to play fetch!
Skye is a big, strong girl, she is looking for an experienced owner that is cpnot only capable of handling her, but who has the time and dedication to give her the training and stimulation that she needs. Skye is looking for an active family that will take her on plenty of adventures and give her daily exercise. Skye will also need plenty of mental stimulation in the form of short training sessions and enrichment such as kongs, confidence building games, treat dispensers and interactive toys to help keep her quick mind busy.
Skye is a big puppy still; she has no concept of her size or personal space and is in need of learning boundaries and impulse control. At the moment when Skye gets overstimulated, she will jump up and mouth, she is easily distracted from this but will need to learn some manners. For now, Skye is suited to a home where everyone is over the age of 12 years old and whom have experience living with a boisterous large-breed dog.
Skye is very clever and already knows her basic commands and a few extra tricks, Skye loves working for both food and toys and is a quick learner who loves engaging with her handler trying to impress with her skills. Skye would thrive attending training, not only where she can work on her manners and impulse control, but also her socialisation and to keep her quick mind working, she would thrive getting involved in agility, fly ball and other dog sports, this girl is ready for action and looking for someone keen to train together and form an unbreakable bond whilst doing so!
Skye hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs, when she sees them out walking, she will pull hard and bark at them, she is over-excited to meet other dogs and can be a little intense when first meeting. Skye plays rough with other dogs however has also had calm moments when going on group walks. For now, Skye is probably best as the only dog in her new home whilst she fine-tunes her doggy manners and learns how to greet politely. Skye may be able to live with a calm, large breed male dog that would be happy to play, however separation and management of Skye would be required to make this work. Skye is not suited to a home with cats or other small animals.
This gorgeous, playful, goofy girl can be very affectionate and cuddly with her people, she is looking for a human she can become best friends with, she will bond strongly to her people and just wants to please and be told that she is a good girl. Skye will be so much fun to train and work with for someone willing to put in the time and effort into her, the sky is truly the limit for this girl, she had endless potential and will make an amazing companion in the right hands!

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
