Meet the stunningly handsome Spider!

Spider is a loyal and loving dog who idolises his handler. He loves to please you and he literally smiles when he hits the mark. His favourite time of day is when the leash comes out to do some training and tricks. Spider is very affectionate and will smother you with licks to show it. He even likes to climb into your lap for cuddles and lean into you with love.

While in care, Spider has lived as an only dog and been in care with other dogs. He is dog social and enjoys having playtime with other dogs. Spider is also a closet water baby who loves to jump into any source of water available. He is always up for some fun – whether that is mucking around with some agility games in the front yard or racing into the dam for a swim. Spider is a relatively active dog who will be able to keep up with whatever adventure you want to go on with him.

Spider is currently boarding with a trainer and is thriving under his guidance and training. He came from a life where he was not given socialisation and interaction but now his confidence is blossoming. Once he is desensitised to an environment, he is a typical happy and friendly dog who greets new people willingly – and with licks as well! We are looking for an owner who wants to do training with him and give him the opportunity to continue to grow. Spider’s ongoing training will include lots of engagement work, hand feeding, fun play designed to build confidence and obedience. He has all the fundamentals and is ready to go – he just needs the handler now who can take the lead and have him follow.

We are looking for an experienced or dedicated family that want to develop this beautiful boy to his full potential. Spider can live with another dog or as an only dog. He is not suited to living with cats or children – cats are fun to chase, and children are overwhelming for him. Spider will need a home with a yard that has secure fencing as he unit life would not suite him. He will need his new home not to be in the inner city as that will be too busy for him. Most importantly, he needs an owner who can show leadership and clear guidance following the instructions provided by his current trainer.
