Maverick is a handsome dude who is very much his own purrsonality. Mav is generally chilled and easy going. He enjoys a head scratch and hanging out with his humans without being too needy or in your face. Once he's got to trust you, expect him sharing the sofa with you and laying behind your knees or near your feet on the bed at night but don't expect to be able to pick him up for cuddles as that isn't his thing! He is wary of new people but you will earn his trust with yummy food and a little patience and then Mav will he a low maintenance member of your family.

Maverick seems to like other cats so has the potential to make friends with new feline friends if introduced gradually, but doesn't like dogs, so is hoping for a pooch free home.

Mav will occasionally use his teeth gently to tell his carers that he wants something, so he's best suited to a home without young children. He enjoys some supervised outside time so if you have an enclosed area that he can't get out if, or a cat run, he would love that. Basically as long as he's got his food and a human to open and close doors for him, Mav is a happy boy 😊

MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, F3 vaccination, flea and worm treatment, microchip - including the transfer of ownership - and sterilisation.

ADOPTION DETAILS
To apply to adopt, please complete a SAFE Cat Adoption Enquiry Form via our website. You will be advised if your chosen cat is still available and then put in contact with the carer for a chance to ask further questions. If a meet-and-greet is then arranged, we will email the adoption paperwork and payment instructions to you prior to this. Please note payment must be made before adoption trial starts and we are unable to take cash payment.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial to ensure your chosen cat is the right fit for your home. After a successful trial period, SAFE Bunbury will arrange transfer of ownership on your new pet's microchip and email copies of their vet records out to you.
