Maple & Chester

Maple and Chester are a very bonded brother and sister pair. The life they've lived has brought them very close to each other. Despite their young age, they've already known love and loss and are now looking for their forever home that will stand by them. Their story is one to tell - please read on!

Maple (F) and Chester (M) are undemanding, affectionate and grateful. Maple's short coat is an unusual shade of blue and ginger, whereas her brother Chester is a blue medium hair boy who loves to have his coat brushed. They want to be physically close to humans and really hope they will be allowed to sleep on a bed with their forever humans. They would make great therapy cats, as their deep purrs and calm presence are very soothing when they curl up in your lap or snuggle in close at night. Their big and soulful eyes tell that they have seen a lot in their lives.

At six weeks of age, Maple and Chester were first rescued by Heart & Soul, and they grew up to adore humans. They are so loving and friendly that their foster carer adopted them.

Unfortunately, due to their person’s sudden onset of illness, they ended up in a shelter and by the time the rescue was alerted, they were lost. Unbeknownst, due to their beautiful nature, they survived the shelter and were adopted just in time.

Fast forward a happy year, and their new person found themselves living in a car. Their heart broken owner contacted 30 rescues in the hope she could find safety for them but had no luck. The night before they were going to be left in a shelter again, Heart & Soul stumbled upon a Facebook post of them, and instead of a shelter, they found themselves in foster care again.

Now they are looking for a permanent, forever home with a loving person.

In their world, the one constant has been that they have each other and are looking to be the only two cats in a household. They are untested with dogs but would likely learn to live with a cat-friendly canine due to their non-confrontational nature. A calm and settled home would match their personality, and they are looking for an adults-only household or one with a calm child or teenagers.
