About Gus - 3 Year Old Chihuahua (Trial)
Meet Gus, a 3 year old male Chihuahua who is looking for a new forever home. He’s a small guy but looking to fill a big place in your heart.
Gus found himself in foster care after his owner sadly passed away and is feeling a little bit lost without the company of his fur siblings so is in need of stability and somewhere he can feel happy again.
Gus likes to follow his foster mum around and frets a bit when he is left alone, we feel this could be due to him having had other dogs around him his whole life so his ideal home would have some fellow fur kids for him to run and play with. He loves cuddles on his foster mums lap and sleeping on her bed of a night.
He’s a nervous little fellow who still needs taking outside for toileting but is alerting his foster mum when he needs to do this.
Gus had typical “little dog syndrome” and will bark at strangers when he is out side so please only apply if you have a love of small dogs and understand that this is part of their normal behaviour. He offsets this with a similar passion for love and cuddles. With this said, we wouldn’t recommend Gus for a home with small children as he startles easily.
His perfect home would be with someone home more often than not or if they worked full time one or two fur siblings to keep him company. He will need ongoing training with his toileting so a patient, small dog experienced family is a must. Secure fencing is also very important because he is so tiny he can fit through little gaps.
He is not a fan of the felines so no cats please. He is not tested with pocket pets or birds.
Gus is in foster care in Mayfield, NSW. He is available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $600 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
