About Lucas
Hi, my name is Lucas and I am a good looking 7 year old black and tan kelpie male.
I am full of energy and love to run on the local beaches. I need to exercise each day and I have a very active wagging tail! I love wading in the water but have not yet tried out swimming. Once I have had a good exercise I flop on my bed and have a sleep. My favourite things in life are giving great cuddles and snuggles with humans, I also love playing with other dogs at the beach.
I am getting better at “heeling” and have been working on my loose leash walking and is a current work in progress but it would definitely be something we could work on together! I am toilet trained and I loooove going for car rides. I’m pretty keen on playing ‘fetch’ with my ball too! I've learned lots of new words since coming into care. I now know my name and am really good at understanding “come" and my foster mum says I have good manners. I have been told I am very quick at learning new things. I love kids and am very gentle with them.
I come from the country originally and my foster mum thinks I would best suit living rurally or near a beach in my future forever home.
If you feel like we would make a good team, you are experienced with the breed and you are willing to provide the mental and physical stimulation I will need, please send in an application today!

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
