About Cinnamon
Hiya, I'm Cinnamon, or you can just call me Cindy if you like! Well, I'm a two-year-old "puppy" (or so the humans keep calling me) and I absolutely love life! My foster parents describe me as sweet, cheeky and playful.
You'll often find me zooming around, sniffing out exciting new adventures, or getting in my beauty sleep (a girl's gotta rest, right?).
I'm full of energy, curiosity, and I'm madly in love with – don't ask me why – snackable carrots!? As they say though, it's the little things that make me super happy, like the stairs that I've totally mastered and the joy of my own tail wagging when I'm excited, which is pretty much ALWAYS!!!
I have a cute little habit of creating a 'nest' in my bed. I collect all sorts of things in there...slippers, socks, bath mats. I have also perfected the art of playing fetch with myself - because honestly, who needs humans when you got a load of toys to throw up in the air?
Wanna know the best part about me? I'm a very affectionate girl, I love scratches behind my ears, snuggles on the couch, and oodles of smooches! And contrary to doggy belief, affection, my dear hooman, is far more rewarding to me than any treats.
But hey, enough about me, why don't ya come over for a cuppa, and we can have a natter and you can see for yourself. Can't wait to meet you, future forever-friend!
My ideal home would be one with a yard for running around and zoomies. I would also love one where people are around more often than not as I love affection.
As I am only young I still need some training to be my best self but I have a lot of love to give.
Summary:
- NOT small dog or cat friendly
- Ideal home would be one where people are home more often than not (part time workers OR WFH)
- Not suitable for apartment living
- Not suitable for homes with children under 12 years of age
Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
https://greytgreys.org/adoption-form/
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
