the "gentle giant " of dogs! phoenix is a lover, not a fighter. He's happy to meet you and leans in for petting and loving. Phoenix gets along fine with people of all ages, other dogs, as long as they are bigger types. Born in 2008, he's a laid-back kind of guy, who loves to just hang out with people. This sweet dog was left at the pound by his person to be put to sleep, for no real reason. But when they looked into phoenix's sad brown eyes, they couldn't bear to put him down and arranged for him to come to bfr instead. . . Yahhh for us. . . . Yahhh for phoenix. He walks on the lead with no problem as long as you have a gentle leader nose collar. He has a little extra weight on right now and his ideal weight is about 55kg. He will need a good diet and regular exercise to keep him happy healthy and well socialised. Only apply if you are able to meet these conditions of his adoption. Like a lot of mastiffs, he does drool, so if you adopt him, you'll want to have some towels handy. With such a gorgeous face, giant paws, he may do best in a big loving family with a strong consistent leader, but would fit in with a couple as well. If you're looking for a sweetheart to hug and love for the rest of your life, phoenix is ready to be your new best friend and teddy bear!
