About Franklin
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Grassed yard for zoomies
- Kids over 8 years
- Suit active family, full-time or part-time workers
Meet Franklin, a blue boy who has a loving personality as gorgeous as his handsome looks. He is also known to his mates as Archie, and he will often shower you with little kisses. He’s very affectionate and loves to cuddle up to his humans on the couch (or bed if you let him). He’s a lively boy and loves to play and prance about. He will need a grassed yard to zoom around and a good supply of tennis balls as they won't last long. He also enjoys playing with squeaky toys.
He has learnt some simple commands such as walk and wait when out and about, approaching other dogs or crossing busy roads. He is still getting used to other dogs but generally ignores them on walks. He is currently in foster as an only dog and seems fine as a solo dog.
Ideally, he would suit an active household as he needs a daily walk of at least 30 minutes at a brisk pace. He would suit a working family because he is well behaved when left on his own. A doggy door would be a good idea or someone who can come home during lunch break.
He is a very friendly boy who loves everyone he meets; he can get a little excited sometimes and will jump up but not on you. He calms down very quickly and just wants to sniff and get pats. He loves being in the car and if a door is left open, he will jump straight in and get ready to go for a drive. Overall, he is pretty much a perfect boy with lots of love to give.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
