About Ashina
Update:Ashina (meaning success or she-wolf) has had a hard start to life. Starting out stuck in a cage with not a friend to her name.
Ashina needed 3 repeated baths to remove odor, dead skin and fleas. She was malnourished and has more than doubled her weight starting off at 4.5kg.
Since entering care, Ashina has gone from cowering away from humans and being hypervigilant to becoming a high energy girl who enjoys playing with other dogs, running around, helping in the garden and playing with toys. Ashina has learned that a good neck scratch or tummy rub is divine.
In the morning she sleeps as long as the humans who surround her then is excited to greet everyone and get started with the day!
Her ideal home would be one with a large yard. She would love to be quite active with her new owner during the day, then enjoy sitting with her owner or playing with toys in the evening.
Ashina use to be anxious about going to bed due to nightmares but she is becoming so confident now. She is comforted by being able to relax at the bottom of a nice warm bed at night. However, Ashina uncomfortable being patted when asleep, as she will occasionally instinctively nip then feel guilty when she is awoken. To wake her up if needed make a little noise in the room eg. clicking and she will be ok. She is ok with spending some time outside if the owner needs to go out or if she has a 4 legged friend to play with and will be excited on your return.
She has taken to walking quite quickly.
Ashina has been doing some training, she responds to her name, is now comfortable with people and animals, however will attempt to steal food.
Ashina is a beautiful girl who has a lot of love to give to the right person with patience and an active lifestyle.
A MEET IS ESSENTIAL.
