About Stella STA011091
Stella came to us terrified having never known the love and security of her own home and human family. We placed Stella into a quiet foster home where she has slowly learnt that humans can be kind, loving and a fantastic supplier of food and treats. Thanks to the loving care of her foster family, Stella is now ready to find her own forever home.
From Stella’s foster home –
On arrival Stella was very hissy, hid in the corner and did not want to be touched. After about a month she started warming up to us. Stella’s favourite activities are playing and eating!
Stella is a sweet girl who loves her food and loves to play. She may take a little time to warm up to you (and new people) but once she’s comfortable she will love chin scratches!
I think Stella will benefit from a confident friendly feline role model (and friend!) to help her feel more comfortable with her new owners quicker. She loved following my youngest cat around and copying/learning from her.
Stella loves her blue mouse toy and will carry it in her mouth to another location to play with it! She knows when it’s food time and will meow and lead you to her food bowls to let you know she’s hungry and it’s time to be fed!
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
