About Buddy
Meet the little ball of beans - Buddy!
We cannot tell you how EXCITED Buddy is to find his forever home, he's been running around the shelter telling everyone that today is his special day!
Buddy is a young boy full of adrenaline and excitement, he has been working with a trainer in the shelter to learn how to manage his excitement and how to appropriately socialize with lots of different people, Buddy's initial approach is to barrel into you at high speed, he is the silliest staffy you will ever meet! He has been working extra hard on learning how to keep his four paws on the ground and wait for a pat, but he just loves life SO MUCH sometimes his excitement can get the better of him, Budy's new family will need to continue positive, force-free training with him to continue his journey to success!
Buddy's perfect home would be one with secondary school-aged children or older, everyone in the home will need to be involved in Buddy's training and need to be able to manage his high levels of excitement.
Some notes from Buddy:
I've been learning that when I run up to people instead of jumping at them, they cross their arms and I know to sit and get treats. When I get excited please play tug of war with me and channel my mouthing onto toys. I love to rip up blankets and soft toys. Calm pats help me relax and I can learn to sit next to you on the couch and watch a movie with some soft handling. My favorite thing is swimming and going to the beach with my friends!
Buddy can't wait to find his perfect forever home today!
