About Anna
Introducing the little cutie Anna! Anna is a Pug x Maltese born on 17th March 2019. Her photos can be a little deceiving showing her size, but she is slightly taller than a standard Pug.
Anna has been surrendered to the facility as her owners have found themselves on hard times & they aren't able to provide her with a good quality of life anymore. Her surrender profile states she is not house trained as she was an outdoor dog. She shows no sign of food aggression or separation anxiety, she travels well in the car, she's lived with cats & dogs before. She's friendly with adult strangers but hasn't been socialised with young children, so they're not sure how she is with them.
Anna tested well with other dogs, however she isn't overly interested in them. She seemed unfazed by their company & wasn't initiating play with them. Because of this we are recommending either she be the spoilt "only child" or a home with another calm dog. If you have a friendly, calm dog at home we will need you to bring them in so we can ensure they get along before being adopted.
Anna showed no interest in cats or pocket pets. We believe that with a slow & controlled introduction she would be fine to live with smaller animals.
Anna can be a little shy to start off with, but she is a very gentle sweetheart.
Anna showed very mild signs of separation anxiety at the facility. This could be caused by being in this environment, as her owner said she was fine at home.
Anna's adoption fee is $600 and includes her desexing, lifetime registration & current vaccination. Anna is also regularly treated for flea and worms.

Anna is located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
