About Basil
*In foster care in Annandale, Sydney*
Basil is an absolute purr machine - the motor starts the second he sees you! This sweet, fun-loving boy will fit into virtually any type of home, as long as there's lots of games and play, chin scratches and cheek rubs on tap.
A real character, Basil's noticed how the resident cat with the huuuge fluffy tail has to hold it up when she walks, and has taken to holding his own skinny little tail high in the air because he thinks it's the done thing :)
While Basil can take some time time trust new people, it's SO worth it once he comes out of his shell! He'll delight you with his cuddles and make you laugh with his darling quirks.

Like all Maggie's pets, Basil is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with a wonderful person, couple or family who's gentle and kind, and who'll be patient with me as I settle in and get to know you at my own pace.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I love a good session with my toys, especially chasing balls down the hall or running around with a nerf bullet in my mouth - but I also love snuggling up in my fluffy bed and becoming a couch potato for a couple of hours!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'd adore a home with someone I can play with! Kids aged 8+ are likely to be the best match for me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: My foster mummy has three resident cats and I have a great time playing with them all!
Not so sure about dogs though, as I've never met one.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
