Kandy is a lovely young girl, still very much a goofy puppy! Kandy loves her humans and will be your best friend! She snuggles in as close as she can to lap up all the love she can get. She prefers to be indoors with her family and is toilet trained. She'll jump up to greet you when you've been out but is learning to keep her paws on the ground. She is on the larger size of medium but not a huge dog.
Kandy is dog social and enjoys playing with dogs but is very excitable with them and even with reminders she can get in their faces which can upset some other pooches. She would love a home with another playful dog who has as much love of life as herself but is tolerant of a young dogs bounciness.
Kandy is good with older kids but will be too big/bouncy for little children. Not good with cats/chooks/small animals. Too much fun to chase and bowl over etc.
Kandy would love a home with someone home the majority of the time as she misses her humans when they are away, however has adapted to her carer working. She is an energetic dog and needs a big yard/space to run around and play in, or lots of beach/park runs and walks. She can be strong on lead initially so needs a dog savvy walker and/or a head halter or good harness.
Kandy sits on command and wants to please her humans so much. She is the sweetest goofy girl and would suit owners who can continue her training.
If you would like more information or to apply, please fill in the SAFE application form.
MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, vaccination, microchip (including transfer of ownership fee), flea and worm treatment and sterilisation. Kandy does seem to have flare up allergies that are most likely seasonal, which cause her to itch. She may benefit from cytopoint (or similar) injections for example in Spring time to help with the itching. Bathing and keeping up her flea treatments will also assist.
ADOPTION NOTES
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your own dog if applicable), a home check (or photos of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.
All adoption fees must be deposited into our SAFE Bunbury bank account in full before adoption trial starts (we cannot accept cash). The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.
After the adoption trial period has been completed we arrange transfer of ownership of the dog's microchip to the new owner, and email out the vet records.
