Kelpie lovers, you're in for a treat!
Banjo is a beautiful pup: he's cuddly, loving and sweet. He loves the children in his foster home and can run around with them all day! He does still exhibit puppy behaviours when he's excited such as jumping up and mouthing but is keen to learn and is responsive to corrections.
Banjo is gaining confidence everyday, but he may still be a little shy around new people and places. In no time at all he makes new friends and should adapt to most loving homes pretty quickly. Any chance he gets he will lay on his back and show off his beautiful belly for some good old rubs!
Banjo gets along well with other dogs. He will try to pinch their food after gobbling his own, so this will need work. He will chase the cat if she runs so would only be able to live with a very confident kitty. He's not suited to small animals such as rabbits/guinea pigs.
Banjo needs some time putting into toilet training as he does sometimes have accidents during the night. He loves human company and spending time indoors with his family so toilet training will be well worth the time. He won't suit full-time workers until he's a little older.
Banjo has been on lead and is getting the hang of things quite quickly. Hes also learning sit and stay. True to his breed, Banjo is a very active and lively boy. He is looking for an active household with owners who will put timeinto training and getting the best out of him. This beautiful boy has so much potential! A large backyard would be great as he loves games in the yard, and of course he will need daily walks/runs. He loves a car ride!
Banjo is a real catch, and with some training and a lot of love he will make someone very happy!
