Hello beautiful people, I'm Empress! I became a Street Cat Alliance Qld foster after I was dropped into a vet as a stray. I was unchipped, unclaimed, and very, very ill. They counted SEVENTEEN paralysis ticks as they removed them from my fluffy little body, and it was nearly a sure bet that I wouldn't survive. It took timely tick anti-serum, veterinary monitoring, people who cared deeply, lady luck, and my strong will to live... but I survived! I've now recovered from that terrible ordeal, seen the doctor for my veterinary care, and have been thriving in foster care ever since!

I'm an incredibly sweet-natured, affectionate, and beautiful little void! I adore spending time with people and it doesn't take long for you to earn my trust. I will approach you confidently and smooch against you until you give me attention - it's pretty much a guarantee that I'll start purring immediately with a really soothing, almost inaudible rumble! I'm very good at making bread and could nearly start my own bakery at this point… 😉💖

I love nose rubs, cheek scritches, gentle temple pats, and a bit of a scratch at the base of my tail. I'm not a huge fan (yet!) of sitting on people, but I LOVE being little spoon and am happy to snuggle up against your side. My happiest times are when we're cuddling this way and I'll roll over to show you my tummy. Yes, you can touch my tummy! I love pats on my belly and chest as I drift off to sleep. You'd better be prepared to face my gorgeous puss-in-boots eyes that plead "aw, please don't go!" if you need to leave though. 😘

I think I would do wonderfully if you have other kitties at home, if we’re gradually and properly introduced. I have met some of the other kitties while I've been in care and we're doing really great with the intro process (untested with dogs). I also cope very well when visitors come (at least until I know they're friends, then I'll come say hello!) and I have been a quiet little lady in the carrier when driving. In fact, I'm a very quiet cat in general!

What else can I tell you about me? Well, I love soft and fluffy blankets to nestle in. I'm very expressive with my tail and will swish it around most of the time! Ooooh, my favourite toys are ribbon and string toys and they really bring out my inner kitten! I have a cute little blaze of white on my chest and my black fur is sun-kissed to a chocolate brown here and there. I loooove my biccies and eat all my dinner, and like to stay hydrated throughout the day. Finally, I have great litter tray etiquette and am fully trained. 😇
