About Frankie
Meet Frankie! The squishy marshmallow with a heart of gold!
Frankie was recently rescued from a vet with two broken legs and now he's healthy and ready to find his forever home. He loves to go on walks, play with his beagle foster brother, and chew on bully sticks.
This goofy pup has energy to burn and is sure to bring lots of fun and laughter into your home.
Frankie is an affectionate Velcro dog who loves cuddles on the couch and sleeping in the bedroom. He can be prone to separation anxiety so it's important that he lives in a home where someone is around more often than not. His new family should also continue positive reinforcement training as well as the medication he's currently taking for his anxiety.
Frankie gets along great with other dogs but due to his history of broken legs, any doggy friends should be similar in size. He's also good with cats if introduced slowly on a leash; however when he gets too hyped up he may try to chase them. As such, no children under 6 are recommended for this pup.
If you think you can offer Frankie the perfect home, please fill out our adoption enquiry form.
We will only contact shortlisted applicants - thank you!
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
