Luca (M/2.5yrs) – Foster Care needed with the view to Adopt

Can we ask you for help with another boy?

We are receiving hardly any applications at the moment for NSW for some reason BUT lots of surrenders, each of them super-urgent!

Luca is in the Macarthur Region/NSW

So please, if you live in VIC/SA or SEQLD do not get discouraged.

Look at gorgeous Luca - one of the most mis-understood dogs!

Luca is a classic example of a family trying hard, but he is simply in the wrong home. Not that he is not loved, Luca just needs someone Boxer experienced who is a strong leader and he will be a wonderful companion.

From the tender age of 6 months Luca was put on several anxiety medications simply because a trainer decided that a dog should walk in a harness - he was fine on a collar, but threw himself to the ground wearing a harness.

Thousands of dollars later another trainer stepped in and weaned him off the medications and was able to take Luca to Bunnings, he met other dogs and people, etc. All was fine....until Luca returned home and reverted back to his old tricks...

To make matter worse, the family moved to another home and Luca is simply over-stimulated with the new surroundings, the trainer suggested a shock collar.... we asked for that to be removed.

Luca is a jumper - we all know that boxers are crossed with roos, right? He loves to jump up on people coming and going. He does not jump the fence though.

We need to move Luca rather sooner than later.

He loves children (but jumps and can/will accidentally knock them over), he seems to be fine with dogs, not with cats though.

We are looking for a Boxer-experienced family who is prepared to put that bit of work in to translate to Luca that he can relax, he does not need to be in charge. Instead he can enjoy life and be just a silly young boxer boy.
