About Flora
Flora is so so sweet. Her foster family will miss her sweet and resilient presence in the house. She isn't one to sit on your lap just yet. She gives lots of head bops and runs her body along your legs as you walk. Her love language is quality time where you play her favourite game - 'catch the feather on a string'. Flora speaks full cat language (not much human language yet), and will need a human companion that understands what a cats emotional and physical needs are. Such as needing space to decompress away from her humans from time to time. During her time in foster care Flora has played with a 4YO cat savy human (strictly supervised). The key is for children to play with her with toys not their hands and for children not to pick her up until trust is built. I would recommend a home with older cat savy children so that she can predict their behaviour. Another gorgeous thing Flora does is she talks to you with her little cat sounds. Sometimes all she needs from you is for you to make a little sound back. Her foster humans worked from home and she became the worlds best office companion, but she will also do well in a home where the family works long hours out of the house. She will likely do well with other cats so long as the transition is slow and positive. She got alone well with her foster families resident cat. I would recommend sectioning of the house and feeding the two cats on either side of a door which is what Flora's foster family did for her and the resident cat. Flora has also been good a getting her nails trimmed. The trick is to trim her claws when she is basking in the sun. Her foster carers have taken the time to pet her paws so that she can get used to nail trims when she finds her forever home.
