About Opal
Do you have a ball looking for a Puppy? Opal could fill that void. She just loves balls, the squeaker the better.
In her foster carers words “She’s a little firecracker and is full of beans, she definitely keeps us on our toes, she is so much fun.”
Opal is busy and will need a household that is looking for an energetic pup, and be prepared to provide some enrichment activities, for example, she loves to shred cardboard with treats inside and she wags her wee tail the whole time she’s shredding. Another way she loves to spend energy is playing chase with another dog. Opal is a real people person and likes to follow her people around like a little shadow, she can be a little nervous when meeting new people but warms up quickly by rolling onto her back for belly rubs. She has been around children of all ages and just loves them.
Opal is still getting used of traveling in the car. Her foster carers are taking her on regular short trips to get her used to it and its working, recently she done a trip to the beach and travelled really well. For a young pup she is learning really well to walk on the lead, she has great focus on her person and all it takes is a little treat here and there. Opal is very food motivated so teaching her new things is easy. She can Sit, lay and recall on command and she is working on sitting and waiting for her food. Opal is pretty reliable with her toilet training only having the odd accident. Opal has access to inside and out, she enjoys laying on the grass on sunny days and will take the option to sleep inside cuddling her stuff pig on other occasions.
Opal has been around many different dogs and has enjoyed playing with them all. When opal has been out on walks, she has seen ducks and she doesn't give them a second glance.

Opal has seen the vet to assess her face that can twitch at times. He has given her a clean bill of health, and no other appointments are needed. It doesn't affect her in anyway. We are happy to discuss this with her potential new owners.
Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet. We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
