Zeus is a handsome boy with a heart of gold & a personality like no other. If you’re an experienced shepherd owner looking to welcome another dog into your home then Zeus may be the dog for you!
Zeus is the epitome of versatility. Whether your home is calm and quiet, bustling and lively, or you're an active, outdoorsy family, Zeus will fit right in. He's adaptable and can adjust to various lifestyles, making him an excellent choice for a wide range of households.
Zeus is open to meeting kids aged 15 years and older. He is a big boy, so it’s recommended that children in the home be older or be dog-savvy.
While Zeus can be the perfect only dog in the house, he has shown that he can be selective with other dogs. With proper training and gradual introductions, he may learn to share his space with a canine friend. However, for now, he would thrive best as the sole four-legged family member.
Zeus has a strong prey drive, so a home without cats or small pocket pets is essential.
Zeus loves the freedom of having access to both indoors and outdoors. A home with a large yard and high, secure fencing is an ideal setting for him to explore and play safely.
With a confident temperament, Zeus is eager to embark on thrilling adventures with you. He has high energy needs, making daily exercise and walks an essential part of his routine.
Zeus is a big fan of toys, especially tennis balls. He'll impress you with his leaping ability as he catches them in the air. His intelligence shines through, as he takes treats gently and already knows his name and how to sit on command. He loves a good game of tug-o-war with rope toys and running after you.
Zeus is food motivated, which means training should be a breeze. Post-adoption training, particularly Shepherd-specific training at home or with a professional, will further enhance his skills.

Sometimes animals behave differently outside of the shelter environment, so please do keep in touch after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
